Thermoforming is a method of manufacturing plastic parts by pre-heating a flat sheet of plastic, then bringing it into contact with a mold whose shape it takes.
In vacuum forming, there are only 6 stages to the process:
1) Make a suitable mould
2) Place the mould inside the vacuum former
3) Clamp the plastic sheet to the above of the mould.
4) Turn on the heater, and heat the plastic until it turns to a malleable state.
5) The air is sucked out from under the plastic and mould
6) Make the parts cold down, and then put the parts out of the mould.
